Best Digimon Trading Card Game starter decks

If you’re a fan of the Digimon Card Game, you’ve probably already picked up a copy of Digimon Linkz. The game is a great place to start for new players, especially if you’re looking to build your collection of starter cards, which are what every player will start with once they open their first booster box.

If you’ve ever wanted to get into the card game world of Digimon, but you’ve always worried that you wouldn’t be able to keep up with the high level players, you’re in luck. We’ve compiled a list of the best starter decks for new players, and they’re all dirt cheap to get you started!

The trading card game genre is a massive and growing one, but one that tends to attract a slightly niche following outside of Japan. Cards like the Yu-Gi-Oh! series, Pokemon, and Magic: The Gathering are household names in gamer circles, but the Digimon franchise is less popular.

Starting a new deck can be difficult given the abundance of cards on the market. Fortunately, the Digimon Card Game was only released in the West, so the number of cards is limited. And the best way to start your Digimon journey is by purchasing a starter kit. Starter Packs are ready-made decks, perfect for new players. There are currently six starting decks in the game, and in this list we’ll look at them all to help you decide which one to choose.

Cocytus Blue

Cocytus Blue is a Matt Ishida themed deck featuring the iconic Gabumon. This deck focuses on attacking and destroying enemy Digimon before they can evolve. This is a great deck for aggressive players who like to put a lot of pressure on their opponent.

Gaia Red

This red bridge revolves around the adorable Ty Kamiya. It’s full of security cards that protect you and harm your enemies. For example, War Greymon, which gets a safety attack based on the number of Digivolution cards in your hand. These safety cards, combined with cards like MetalGreymon, allow you to dominate the board.

Giga Green

Giga-Green is a deck by Izzy Izumi that prides itself on suspending the opponent’s Digimon and then removing them with its Mega Evolution Monster. HerculesKabuterimon can make any safety check after defeating and surviving an opponent, and can also suspend an opponent’s Digimon by discarding two Digivolution cards.

T.K. Takaishi’s Yellow Sky deck aims to overwhelm the opponent with negative effects to weaken them. It works very well in long turns due to its weakening effects and high defense cards. Cards like MagnaAngemon, which lower your opponent’s Digimon level by 1000 DP each turn, require careful decisions to be effective, but can be very destructive.

black machine

Machine Black is Tai Kamiya’s second deck that focuses entirely on defending against opponent attacks. The big boss of this game is BlitzGramon. You may give a friendly Digimon an extra 4,000 DP until the end of the opponent’s turn and tick off an extra safety card.

Poisoned Violet

Venomous Violet is another themed game by Matt Ishida. The core of this game is the use of tricks and strategy to outsmart your opponent. You sacrifice Digimon on both sides of your field and put the discarded cards back in your hand. With CresGarurumon, you can restore a destroyed third level Digimon from your recycle bin without storage costs.

As a Pokémon fan, I have played the games since its first release. I have always loved the concept of the series and all its various games. But I never owned the card game or the collectible cards, so I had no idea what to get. I always thought the starter decks were hard to beat, but I never really pulled the trigger and got one.. Frequently Asked Questions

Which Digimon starter deck is the best?

Digimon trading card games may be well known to some, but not to all. So, to help out beginner players, we’ve collected a list of the best Digimon starter decks. This post will cover the following: We are all Digimon fans, so we know what you’re thinking: “Which one’s the best? Which one’s the worst?” While there are many fan-favourites and some that are just plain awful, only one Digimon card game starter deck can be the best. In this brief guide, we’re going to help you find the best Digimon deck for you.

How many Digimon starter decks do you need?

I’ve never been one to play collectable trading card games, and it seems like most kids my age have never heard of them. But then again, I don’t play Magic: The Gathering or Yu-Gi-Oh, so I am not really an expert on the subject. But I have heard of Digimon cards, and I was recently given the opportunity to review a starter deck of the series. Digimon trading card games are a lot of fun, but they can also be very complicated. So, how many Digimon starter decks do you need to get started in the world of Digimon? Let’s find out.

Why are the Digimon starter decks so expensive?

The Digimon card game made by Bandai, also known as Digimon Digital Card Battle, has been around for a while, and has a pretty big following for the most part. There’s plenty of Digimon card game starter decks (sometimes referred to as “starter Decks”) available online, and many of them are expensive. Why is that? (In today’s gaming market, cheap starter decks are a rarity. It’s even worse for Digimon, a card game where you play cards to fight Digimon, and which relies heavily on the trading card game mechanics.) At first glance, the $15.99 price tag on Bandai’s starter deck box for Digimon Battle Spirit may seem ridiculous, but if you’re someone who buys a lot of starter decks and digimon figures, then it’s hard to argue with the price.
