Everything Announced at Sony State of Play June 2022

Sony held a press conference at the PlayStation Experience 2019 to announce its next-generation console, PS5. All of this and more was announced in a single State of Play event that spanned an hour.

The “sony state of play 2022” is everything announced at Sony’s State of Play event in June. Sony has been a leader in the gaming industry for years. The company has been releasing some amazing games, and they have announced a lot more coming soon.

The summer season is here, and now that E3 has come and gone for another year, Sony is starting off the game announcement season with its June 2022 State of Play. The newest State of Play is a solid one, with numerous new trailers, announcements, and information on many future games for both PS5 and PS4. Remake of Resident Evil 4

Sony began the State of Play with a strong one with the official reveal of the Remake of Resident Evil 4 which was earlier rumored to be in development. It is slated for release on March 24, 2023. Updates to the PS VR 2 titles

Next, Sony announced four titles that are currently in development for the upcoming PS VR 2. These include Resident Evil VIII or Village, The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners Chapter 2: Retribution (Coming out in 2022), No Man’s Sky, and Horizon Call of the Mountain. Horizon Forbidden West has received a major update.

Horizon Forbidden West is getting a huge update that will include New Game+ as well as a slew of other enhancements including Improved Visual Fidelity, Changing Outfits, a new Ultra Hard mode, Reset Skills, and new outfits and trophies for everyone to enjoy. The new version is now accessible to everyone for free download.

Launch of Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered on PC

The highly acclaimed Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered is coming to PC on August 12, 2022, according to Insomniac Games. It will also contain all DLCs for the game that have been published. Check out the trailer for the PC announcement below:

 

Announcement of the Stray Release Date

The release date for BlueTwelve Studio and Annapurna Interactive’s cat game Stray was also confirmed in a new teaser. Stray will be released on PS5 and PS4 on July 19, 2022, and it will be included in the PlayStation Plus Extra and higher levels at no extra cost. Check out the latest trailer below the jump:

 

Trailer for The Callisto Protocol’s Release Date

Striking Distance Studios, which was founded by ex-Dead Space devs, has released a devastating video for The Callisto Protocol, their future game. For December 2, 2022, The Callisto Protocol will be released on PS4 and PS5. Check out the latest trailer below the jump:

 

Trailer for Rollerdrome’s Release Date

Rollerdrome, a stylish roller skating massacre game, also got a new teaser at Sony’s State of Play. For August 16, 2022, Rollerdrome will be released on PS5 and PS4, and the game is now under production at Roll7, with Private Division handling the publishing. The Trailer for Eternights

Eternights was announced by Studio Sai and Kovloon Nights with an intriguing teaser that featured some of the in-game characters and tentacle-like appendages sprouting out of the main protagonist. It’s been characterized as a mix of a dating sim and an action game. It will be released on PS5 and PS4 in early 2023. Take a look at the trailer below:

 

Gameplay Trailer for Street Fighter 6

The first trailer for Street Fighter 6, the next installment in Capcom’s long-running Street Fighter series, has been revealed. Fights, as well as certain returning characters like Chun-Li, Ryu, and Jamie, are seen in the teaser, as well as open-world exploring elements. Of course, no Sony State of Play would be complete without a Final Fantasy trailer, and this year’s is no exception. We received a brand-new trailer for Final Fantasy XVI, which included fresh game footage with lots of fighting scenes, new characters, and more details on the game’s plot.
