A company called Blade Runner has revealed it is launching a de-centralized autonomous digital asset exchange that will allow users to trade their cryptocurrency in the real world. The RADIO Token sale was announced this week, with a planned soft cap of $2 million USD and hard cap of 50 million tokens at $10 each.

RadioShack is a company that has been around for over 100 years. They are now returning as a cryptocurrency DeFi company, and plans to launch swap with RADIO tokens.

RadioShack, the long-defunct business known for electrical goods and supplies such as power plugs and audio cables, has resurfaced as a cryptocurrency firm.

The company’s new business venture has been confirmed via its newly launched website, which explains how it will be “bringing cryptocurrency to the mainstream” with key technologies embraced by proponents of DeFi (decentralized finance), a blockchain-based form of finance that aims to put monetary control in the hands of its users. They include the RadioShack Trade platform, which will enable cryptocurrency investors to swap currencies in the same way that current services like Uniswap do, as well as the RADIO token.

“Blockchain technology has quickly evolved into a mind-blowing multiplicity of sectors: currencies, centralized exchanges, derivatives, lending, swaps, synthetics, and so on,” RadioShack wrote in a blog post explaining why it was starting its cryptocurrency journey with a swap and the potential profits it could bring to the company.

“However, the notion of a swap stands out first and foremost as a source of low-hanging fruit — fruit that generates amazing amounts of net profit.” Profit not just from speculative assets such as Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, but also from trading fees.”

“Some established swaps, such as Uniswap or Sushiswap, are apparently making $1-$7 million per day in net profit!” In the DeFi universe, they are the present lucrative forces of nature.”

After failing in the retail business and filing for Chapter 22 bankruptcy, RadioShack was bought by Retail Ecommerce Ventures (REV) in November 2020. The brand currently lives in part as an online business that, according to REV officials, continues to do well.
