I grew up with Minecraft, so to say I have experience with the game would be an understatement. I’m here to share my hard-earned wisdom with you, so here are the three best ways to get magic books in Minecraft.
The players don’t know how to fill the spell books. Therefore, they can only be found in the world. There are three different methods that players can use:
- Fishing
- Suitcases
- Talk to the librarian
These are the only three methods you can use to get the spell book, so let’s discuss them in detail.
How do I get a Minecraft repair magic book
Of the three methods available to you, the one that requires the least effort is the easiest to fish.
If you’ve ever spent much time fishing in Minecraft, you know that there’s more than just fish in these waters. There are all sorts of things you can do, including books on magic.
A fascinating book about spawning while fishing is a repair book. It’s a rare fall, but with perseverance you can get it. That doesn’t mean you have to spend hours in Minecraft fishing. I’m not strong enough to handle this. Instead, you can create your own automatic fishing that does the work for you.
There are several machines that can be built to automate the fishing process. Most are easy to build and don’t take up much space. If you build such a machine and get it working, you can get started and come back to it from time to time to see whether or not you had any luck with any of the books.
Looting crates is probably the least reliable method of obtaining repair books, because the crates must first be found. Try to find charms in these chests instead of going on an active farm. So check all the purebreds you come across, but don’t bother searching them.
There are several types of cases that can give rise to repair books, including:
- The end of the city’s treasury.
- Dungeon coffins.
- Temple coffins.
The last way to get Charms is to talk to the village librarian. This method is technically feasible, but requires far more resources than simply operating a fish farm.
The librarians will trade you a spell book for an emerald. Of course, these books have a chance of becoming repair books. This means that you can theoretically count on the trade to release the book in short order. However, this solution is somewhat more difficult to implement in practice.
Emeralds are not the easiest source to find. While they don’t have much use compared to things like diamonds, the last thing you want to do is waste them on meaningless pendants you’ll never use.
However, I have to point out this method because it’s technically a way to get magic, especially if you’ve collected a ton of emeralds in your chest.
But that’s not the end of this discussion about the library. If you haven’t been around much since your villager updated, you probably don’t know how things work. In particular, you may not know that you can make certain types of villagers. So if you don’t have access to a librarian or yours was killed in a looting attack, you have the option to create a new one.
How to get a librarian in Minecraft
To get a librarian, you must first have a permanent villager. If your entire village was wiped out in the style of the Jedi Temple, founding a new village is a topic for another article. For now, I think you have a vanilla Slydward running around that is useless. So it’s time for you to take on the role of parent and tell that worthless redneck to get a job.
Creating a rustic color palette is a fairly simple two-step process:
Step one: Isolate the farmer from the rest of the pack. There are several ways to do this, but I prefer the boot method. Build and place a boat next to your villager and he should automatically get into the boat. So all you have to do is banish him from anyone who might take offence at your future forcing. Remember, boats are not allowed to be driven on land. You will have to build a shallow river or get around this problem by other more technical means.
Step two: Build a desk. Lecterns is one of those weird new units introduced with the rural work improvements that allow you, among other things, to turn a villager into a librarian. Give your villager access to a speaker and you’re done. Now you’re ready to spend all those precious emeralds and desperately try your luck in what is essentially a precursor to loot boxes.
How to place librarians in Minecraft for charming books
I still maintain that using the AFK automatic fish farm is still the best way to get magic books, whether you fix them or not. But if you have a good supply of emeralds, you can get librarians for these books.
I’m not saying you can have more than one, because you can’t. Rather, it’s a way to reset the librarian’s inventory in case you don’t get it the first time. To reset the librarian’s inventory, simply remove the lectern and replace it. The game registers it as a lost villager and then gives you your profession back, so you can try to repair the book again.
Why Minecraftis so good at fixing charms.
We talk about all these companies, but you may not know why you need repair books in the first place. It’s simple: Think of magic as non-disruptive steroids. Instead of letting your item abuse its durability, it actively repairs your item as you play, like a built-in portable anvil.
This is how it works: With XP you go out into the world to get your item, not player level. This means that in situations where you mine coal, the XP you get from coal essentially allows you to use the peak indefinitely.
The downside, of course, is that you can’t go upstairs. However, if you’re at a point in the game where you want to use such an enchantment, you should already have an XP farm installed, so this shouldn’t be a problem.
How to use the repair spell book in Minecraft
After the tedious or not work of using the fishing method, the experience of getting your hands on one of these books, you should actually know how to use one of these books. Chances are you already know this, but if you haven’t been there since the good old days, you could use a refresh.
First of all, you need an anvil. Anvils are simple but incredibly powerful items that allow you to rename and repair weapons. You can also use it to put spell books on your weapons. So take the object you want to enchant and bring the book to the anvil. Place the object in the first slot and the book in the second. The final product is in the third slot, so grab it and go.
Why doesn’t my spell book work in mineralogy?
No, it’s not a problem. There are two very different reasons why your spell book isn’t working.
First: You are trying to apply magic to an insurmountable problem. Needless to say, you can’t use an infinite spell on your iron sword, otherwise you’d turn into Erza from Fairytail (which, come to think of it, sounds awesome).
The second reason this may not work is that your level is too low. As with normal talismans, a certain level is needed to apply the books to objects. Without the levels to add magic to a pickaxe, sword, or anything else, you have two separate items until you level up.
Like I said, it shouldn’t be a problem. Making XP farms in Minecraft is ridiculously easy, so easy that you can make it so you collect XP while doing what you’re doing. So when it runs out, go to your cactus farm or your alien farm and get a few more levels. This shouldn’t take more than a few minutes.
