Do you get a Unity error message or a Unity player error message every time you try to play Valheim? Here’s what you can do about it.
Correction of an error in Valheim
Valheim is one of those independent games that prove you don’t have to have a big budget to be successful. Even in its early days, the game is going pretty well so far. It’s a great game, and I’m sure people new to survival games like Ark will love it too.
But that doesn’t mean the game is perfect. Walheim has his share of questions.
What is the unit error in Valheim?
The Unity bug is a bug related to the Unity player, and many users have this problem in Valheim. After a few minutes of playing, they get the error message Valheim – Unity 2019.4.16f1_e05b6e02d63e, after which the game no longer works for them.
Here is the best description of the /Mahaki forum user error:
I have a problem with the UnityPlayer.dll.
When playing both solo and multiplayer, the game crashes after 1.5 to 2 hours with the error code Unity 2019.4.16f1_e05b6e02d63e. Log files
say: ERROR_CODE: 0xc00005. There are no protocol errors in the game.
Read about the problem and find a description of how to solve it.
- Reinstalling the game
- Affected impersonal register
- Verification and installation of new hardware driver required
- Microsoft Visual C++ validated redistribution files have been updated
- Turn off the steam pad.
- The lid of the PC and the steam were cleaned.
- NVIDIA Control Panel; disable Tripple Buffering, set low latency mode to Ultra.
- Acceleration is disabled and vertical synchronization is applied.
- Vsync is disabled in the game.
I tried playing with an active or inactive antivirus software but nothing worked, I did a clean reinstallation of Windows 10 but the problem persisted.
Equipment : Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8700 CPU @ 3.20GHz, RAM : System type 16GBS : 64-bit CPU, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050Ti graphics
As you can see, the user has tried almost everything to solve the problem. But alas, they failed. The question now is whether there is a solution.
Correcting the Valheim unit error
The good news is that there is a solution. The bad news is that it may not work for everyone. Since the error code may be different for different users.
First, I want you to make sure you’ve taken all the obvious small steps you need to take when you have performance issues. Driver updates, game checking on Steam, etc. I can list all these things here if you want. Let me know in the comment section below.
Now let’s look at the corrections suggested by the Steam /Zoots user. This is what he did to solve the problem:
I first removed my GPU overclock and left it in reserve.
I went into my BIOS and updated it to the latest 1805 version. (ASUS ROG B550-F)
Reset all errors in the BIOS, except leaving D.O.C.P. on to run my ram at 3200 mHz.
I went into the game and changed a few settings:
The game still looks good, and so far no crashes after 24 hours!
I don’t know if it has to do with updating my default GPU/mobo bios or just the game settings.
All I know is that it’s playable again. I had an accident once, and it happened 2 to 20 times a day…. I couldn’t evolve with my character at all.
I want to take care of his decision. What he did was update his biography. Then he went into his bios settings, set everything back to default, but set AI Overclock Tuner to D.O.C.P (XMP for Intel users). I’m also using the Asus ROG B550-F and this is what it looks like:
This correction has already been confirmed by many users. Try it out, and if it works for you, let everyone know in the comments below.
